Pamela Anderson Left Stranded After Kid Rock Exploded At Borat Screening 💔🎥

The driveway outside Ron Meyer’s Hollywood home became the most painful exit of Pamela Anderson’s life.

In the fall of 2006 she walked back inside after Kid Rock left her stranded, apologized to powerful peers and asked for a ride home.

That night turned a private Borat screening into the collapse of a marriage that had raced through St. Tropez, Beverly Hills and Nashville.

Anderson and Kid Rock, born Robert Ritchie, had been married for only four months. Their romance had a tangled history, including an engagement in the early 2000s and a canceled wedding in 2003. When they reconnected in July 2006, the couple moved fast. They celebrated their union aboard a yacht in St. Tropez and held two more ceremonies in Beverly Hills and Nashville.

By November they were preparing to move into a new shared home in Malibu. Before the move, they attended an exclusive gathering at the home of Universal Pictures Chairman Ron Meyer and his wife Kelly.

The event was a private advance screening of the Sacha Baron Cohen comedy Borat. The living room included Steven Spielberg, Rick Rubin, Laird Hamilton and Gabby Reece. Anderson had filmed a cameo and willingly played along with a staged kidnapping by Cohen’s character at a book signing. She embraced the joke and wanted her appearance to surprise Ritchie.

That surprise backfired. As the mockumentary played, a scene referenced Anderson’s infamous stolen 1995 private tape. While the room understood the satire, Ritchie saw it as a personal humiliation. Anderson later recalled that he called her a whore and worse before storming out of the screening room.

Hamilton reportedly shouted as Ritchie left.

Do not get mad at Superwoman when she busts out her cape

Anderson chased her husband to his car in the driveway and tried to calm the moment. Ritchie drove away and left her stranded. She had to return to Meyer’s home, apologize to the industry figures and quietly ask someone for a ride.

When she reached their residence, the hostility had escalated. She found Ritchie smashing a framed photograph. He yelled that he was tired of waking up to a picture of Anderson with her friend, photographer David LaChapelle. The shattered frame held a portrait of Marilyn Monroe by Bert Stern, not Anderson with LaChapelle.

The screening exposed a glaring lack of respect. Cohen later texted Anderson to ask what her husband thought of the film. Her reply was direct.

He was demanding a divorce

On November 27, 2006, just 122 days after their first wedding ceremony in the French Riviera, Anderson formally filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court citing irreconcilable differences. Ritchie filed his own papers less than an hour later.

The free summer romance ended in a chaotic Hollywood night and a shattered frame on the floor.
